CSAR is now the Student Affairs Scholarship Support Hub!

Why did we change our name?

Center for Student Access & Resources (CSAR) is now SASSH, or the Student Affairs Scholarship Support Hub! This name change better reflects the work we do. We connect students to scholarship opportunities within the Division of Student Affairs. Put simply, this means that our team of Scholarship Program Advisors (SPAs) can help you find scholarship funding that fits your unique circumstance, whether it's administered by our office, or one of our partner offices in Student Affairs.

See our FAQ page for more information about our work as the newly named SASSH!

Our Mission

We support student success and well-being by connecting students to Student Affairs scholarship opportunities and meaningful cohort experiences. We do this through personalized one-on-one support as they navigate institutional systems at the U.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED!

SASSH has over 20 scholarship opportunities available to a wide range of students. Applications for these scholarship awards open each year on December 1 and close February 28 on ScholarshipUniverse. Students are encouraged to read about our opportunities to discover what they're eligible for before applying!

HOT TIP: Most departments on campus that administer scholarships utilize an application cycle that begins 1-2 semesters BEFORE the awards are posted. This means students should be looking for scholarships 6-8 months before they need the funds. The vast majority of SASSH scholarships are 1-year awards, which means they will be posted to the fall and spring semesters of the following academic year. This means that we open our scholarship applications in December of the fall BEFORE the awards are posted. Be proactive!

Basic timeline:

  • December 1st - applications open
  • February 28th or 29th - applications close
  • March - application review begins
  • May - offers sent to students
  • July - awards are posted
  • August - SASSH scholars orientation
